Service Estimator

Job Summary:
As a Service Estimator, you will be responsible for evaluating customer requirements and delivering precise estimates for service projects. Your role is pivotal in maintaining the seamless operation of our service team, ensuring efficient service delivery.
The ideal candidate will possess a robust comprehension of service industry norms and practices. Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills are vital, as you will collaborate closely with customers, suppliers, and internal stakeholders to guarantee utmost customer satisfaction.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
- Prepare accurate service repair quotes based on comprehensive inputs from technicians, customers, and the service team.
- Process leads, opportunities, and estimates through the CRM system.
- Handle website inquiries and customer requests for quotations (RFQs) via phone and email.
- Professionally communicate and deliver quotes to customers, ensuring clarity and responsiveness.
- Maintain a prioritized list and diligently follow up on outstanding quotes to enhance effectiveness.
- Gather miscellaneous information and procure parts pricing from various manufacturers and vendors.
- Develop new preventative maintenance (PM) proposals tailored to customer specifications and requests.
- Perform other assigned departmental tasks efficiently and effectively.
Additionally, manage the following responsibilities:
- Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements, including Confidence Testing in Washington and Oregon.
- Collaborate with outside sales, project managers, and business development representatives.
- Manage pricing agreements with vendors such as ABB, Daihatsu, and Bergen.
- Maintain and update internal rate sheets for recurring services, health checks, and preventative maintenance contracts.
- Handle Long Term Service Agreements (LTSA) and update contracts in the CRM system.
- Prepare estimates and change orders and send them to customers and project managers.
- Review and refine existing PM proposals, balancing customer needs with business objectives.
- Negotiate terms with external sales partners and receive customer purchase orders (POs).
- Coordinate service order job openings and handover sheets as required.
- Follow up on customer estimates and maintain updated customer information in the CRM system.
- Work towards improving Net Promoter Score (NPS) and customer satisfaction.

Job Details:
- In-Person, Hybrid, or Remote position. Ideally, the person in this role will be in close proximity to one of our following locations, and will work in-person or hybrid remote, but it is not required to be considered for this position:
- Kent, WA (Seattle, WA) or Fort Lauderdale, FL
- Schedule, Monday - Friday, traditional business hours.
- Salary Range: $57,000 - $76,000 per year, based on skills, experience and location.

Education and Experience Requirements:
- 5+ Experience in marine and/or power generation market segments.
- A bachelor’s degree in business administration, Marketing, Engineering, or a related field is preferred. Relevant coursework in sales, customer relationship management, or service management is advantageous.
- 2-5 years of experience in a sales role, preferably within the service solutions industry or a related field.
- Experience in handling customer inquiries, preparing quotes, and managing customer relationships is essential.

- This job operates in a professional office environment. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopies, filing cabinets, printers, and scanners.
