Business Controller

The Business Controller will report to the Director of Data Planning & Analysis and serve as a strategic partner to the Senior Leadership team. This role supports company growth, strategic planning, and expanding business needs through preparation and analysis.
Key Responsibilities:
Strategy, Planning & Management:
- Assist in formulating future direction and supporting tactical initiatives
- Lead the continuous evaluation of short and long-term strategic financial objectives
- Monitor and implement strategic business plans
- Develop and monitor performance trends and KPIs
- Manage capital budgeting processes
- Evaluate and advise on long-range planning and new programs/strategies
- Analyze company performance relative to market and peers
Operations:
- Prepare product line and customer profitability analysis
- Coordinate with management on financial plans and forecasts
- Become a subject matter expert and participate in training development
- Manage FP&A activities linked to closing processes
- Participate in acquisition due diligence
Financial Information:
- Manage financial forecasting, budgets, consolidation, and reporting
- Provide timely and accurate budget and financial trend analysis
- Assist with consolidated financial reports
Management Responsibilities:
- Provide oversight in line with company strategy and policies
- Coach and mentor employees, oversee onboarding, and provide career development

Requirements:
- Exposure to foreign currency required
- Required: Exposure to sales distribution models, job costing, Work in Progress, and percentage of completion
- English required; Spanish proficiency is a plus
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills
- High energy, integrity, and results-oriented
Education and Experience:
- BA in Finance or Accounting required
- MBA is a plus
- CPA is a plus
- 5+ years of FP&A experience in a multi-location, organization required
- Marine and Power Generation Industry experience preferred
- Experience with service and labor cost management and analysis required
- Experience with Power BI preferred
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $130,000.00 - $145,000.00 per year
