We are currently seeking a Safety Manager for a reputable Commercial General Construction company in the Dallas (DFW), TX area. The Safety Manager will play a pivotal role in overseeing the company's safety program, ensuring compliance with all relevant regulations and fostering a culture of safety and accountability.

Responsibilities:

  • Conduct a thorough gap analysis of the safety program to identify areas for improvement.
  • Develop and implement processes and procedures aimed at achieving zero accidents.
  • Conduct regular inspections of construction sites to identify and mitigate potential hazards.
  • Collaborate with field personnel to provide training and education on safety procedures.
  • Design and deliver training programs for both existing and new safety policies and procedures.
  • Investigate accidents and near misses to determine root causes and implement necessary changes to prevent recurrence.
  • Prepare, review, and update project-specific safety plans and job hazard analyses as required.
  • Ensure the accuracy and completeness of accident reports and investigations.
  • Act as an advocate for the company's safety program, promoting safety as a core value of the organization.
  • Provide regular reports to management as needed.
  • Perform any additional duties or responsibilities as directed.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in safety management, construction management, or related field OR Construction Health and Safety Technician (CHST) or Occupational Health and Safety Technician (OHST) designation.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in construction safety.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in safety program development and training.
  • OSHA 500/OSHA 30 certification.
  • In-depth knowledge of OSHA Construction Standards CFR 1926, General Industry Standards CFR 1910, and best management practices.
  • Familiarity with typical construction processes.
  • Proficiency in computer skills, including Viewpoint, SharePoint, and MS Office.
  • Strong technical writing skills for developing policies, procedures, and training materials.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and stand for long periods of time.
  • Capability to walk job sites, climb stairs and/or ladders, and withstand extreme weather conditions.
  • Reliable transportation.
  • Must be local to the Dallas (DFW), TX area.
  • Must be authorized to work for any US employer without sponsorship.

Benefits:
