This is a fully onsite position in the Dallas-Fort Worth, TX area.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Utilize BIM software (such as Revit and Navisworks) to design and model HVAC systems for construction projects.
  • Collaborate with project teams to develop detailed HVAC plans, layouts, and schematics that meet project requirements and industry standards.
  • Ensure accuracy and compliance with building codes, specifications, and regulatory requirements in all HVAC designs.
  • Conduct clash detection and coordination with other trades to resolve conflicts and optimize system integration.
  • Generate accurate quantity takeoffs and material schedules for HVAC components.
  • Stay abreast of industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices in BIM and HVAC design.
  • Provide technical support and guidance to project teams throughout the design and construction phases.
  • Collaborate with architects, engineers, contractors, and clients to ensure seamless project delivery.

Requirements:

  • Proven experience as a BIM Designer specializing in HVAC duct work, with proficiency in BIM360, Revit and Navisworks.
  • Strong understanding of HVAC principles, equipment, and design standards.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail, with the ability to identify and resolve design conflicts.
  • Familiarity with building codes, regulations, and industry standards related to HVAC design and construction.
  • Effective communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work in a team environment and interact with diverse stakeholders.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
