Requirements:
- Experience as a Fire Alarm Installation Technician
- Willingness to travel extensively, including 3-4 weeks away from home within a 4-hour radius
- Flexibility to work on-call, including day and night shifts as needed
- Ability to read blueprints and site maps
- Proficient in fire alarm panels, CCTV, voice, and data cabling
- Knowledgeable in identifying color codes and working in confined spaces
- Ability to operate BOOM or scissor lifts and work at heights
- Basic telecommunications tools, PPE, and reliable transportation required
- Familiarity with cabling infrastructure and conduit installation is a plus
- Proficient with smartphones and computers, including email and Microsoft Office
- Valid driver's license with a clean record (no DUIs or DWIs in the last three years)
- Must pass a drug test and background check
Responsibilities:
- Install, troubleshoot, and maintain fire alarm systems
- Run low voltage cabling in commercial buildings, including drilling and limited conduit work
- Ensure cables are neatly organized and comply with safety regulations
- Install cable support structures such as j-hooks, cable racks, and innerduct
- Conduct tests to verify functionality of installed systems
- Troubleshoot cable network issues
- Adhere to project safety requirements set by our team, clients, or OSHA
- Perform additional duties as assigned by your supervisor
Pay: $25 - $35 per hour, based on experience.
