Requirements:

  • Experience as a Fire Alarm Installation Technician
  • Willingness to travel extensively, including 3-4 weeks away from home within a 4-hour radius
  • Flexibility to work on-call, including day and night shifts as needed
  • Ability to read blueprints and site maps
  • Proficient in fire alarm panels, CCTV, voice, and data cabling
  • Knowledgeable in identifying color codes and working in confined spaces
  • Ability to operate BOOM or scissor lifts and work at heights
  • Basic telecommunications tools, PPE, and reliable transportation required
  • Familiarity with cabling infrastructure and conduit installation is a plus
  • Proficient with smartphones and computers, including email and Microsoft Office
  • Valid driver's license with a clean record (no DUIs or DWIs in the last three years)
  • Must pass a drug test and background check

Responsibilities:

  • Install, troubleshoot, and maintain fire alarm systems
  • Run low voltage cabling in commercial buildings, including drilling and limited conduit work
  • Ensure cables are neatly organized and comply with safety regulations
  • Install cable support structures such as j-hooks, cable racks, and innerduct
  • Conduct tests to verify functionality of installed systems
  • Troubleshoot cable network issues
  • Adhere to project safety requirements set by our team, clients, or OSHA
  • Perform additional duties as assigned by your supervisor

Pay: $25 - $35 per hour, based on experience.
